Pasta Bolognese

  • 1 Medium Brown Onion
  • 1 Clove Garlic
  • 1/2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 lb Ground Beef, Extra Lean
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Ground Oregano
  • 1 tsp Rosemary, Dried
  • Pinch of Salt if needed
  • 3 Large Mushrooms
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper
  • 2 Carrots, Grated
  • 8 oz Can Tomato Sauce
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 14 oz Penne Pasta, Cooked

Instructions

  1. Peel and chop the onion and garlic, then fry in olive oil for around 3-5 minutes in a medium/large non-stick pan.
  2. Add the ground beef. Break apart the beef and cook until browned. Drain. Season well with black pepper, oregano, and rosemary.
  3. Chop the mushrooms and red pepper. Peel and grate the carrots. Transfer the veggies to the pan and mix well.
  4. Add the tomato and Worcestershire sauce. Cook on low for 20 minutes. Stir occasionally.
  5. Serve over cooked penne pasta.
